Recently the image Delphi method has been used in the design and marketing fields. However, this method is defective in the arbitrariness in the map meaning, the interpretation of coordinate axes and the naming band the naming bases obtained by this method. The objectives of this monograph are the interchange analysis as the method of the character-behavior analysis in the clinical psychological field, the structural analysis of sub consciousness of human being etc. as well as the investigation as to the question if the coordinates of egogram used in the interchange analysis are useful for the meaning of an image map, the interpretation of coordinate exes, the naming, etc.
Firstly, in order to investigate into the fundamental structure of the image map, the propriety or egogram utilization was groped. Successively the words corresponding to respective quadrants of this fundamental structure were abstracted so that the image pictures of various goods previously collected may be made up according to the abstracted words. Thus, the close correlations with the Image Egogram can be detected in the light of the results of egogram given by the tested persons. Resultantly, it was elucidated that the egogram can be used for the image Delphi method. By the way, this image egogram as the title theme is a coinage word of the image map made up by the image selecting method on the premise of the egogram.

Binocular stereoscopic displays have been widely used as effective demonstration in the virtual reality. It is suspected that the reciprocal relation in the visual functions is collapsed as compared with normal viewing when looking at the binocular stereo-scopic images. The eye movement during images load were measured using a nelectro0oculogram (EOG) to investigate the effects of the stereo parallax on visual functions facility. The effect of the large-parallax stereoscopic images was that EOG disintegration was high, indicating significant inhibition of cooperative movement of the eyes.

In virtual reality (VR), sense of reality is important. Though we produce VR using current system, there are various problems in those. Therefore we need to develop the systems to produce VR.
In this research, we developed following 3 systems. 1. Dummy head recording system, 2. Horizontal display VR system, and 3. System to intervene virtual space with both hands.
We will produce VR using these systems, and examine the applications and the effects of those.

The effects of the screen illuminance and the sly luminance on the contrast ratio of the different technology displays are investigated. It is shown that the contrast ratio is expressed as a function of the display emitting luminance, the luminance coefficient, the specular reflectance, the screen illuminance, and the superimposed light-source luminance. It is also shown that the relationship between the screen illuminance and the sly luminance due to maintain the contrast ratio n3 is estimated by a simple function.

Rapidly developed semiconductor technologies in Japan have brought many types of flat panel displays such as LCD (Liquid Cristal Display) and PDP (Plasma Display Panel) for VDT use in the offices. In order to meet the goal of user comfort of these information displays, physiological functions while viewing these displays were experimentally studied. A significant correlation was found between the velocity of lens accommodation or focusing speed of the eye and the subjective visual comfort. A positive type CRT (Cathode Ray Tube), which has dark characters on a light background, was ascertained to be the most appropriate display type, while the most inferior one was traditional LCD with the least visual comfort and the lowest accommodative velocity.
