As an information-oriented life makes progress, studies on a screen design aiding comprehension are needed from various fields, For this reason, this article discussed a classification system of a screen design in the case of a paper play. Two which is about the relations between screens and the other is a vertical classification system which is about relations between a screen and words. From these classification systems, an actual condition of a screen design in a paper play was clarified. Therefore, this article brought the basis on discussion about a screen design.

Eight portrait of Masuyama that was drawn by students of art college are the stimuli of this experiment. Two groups of students evaluated the similarity if those portraits and Masuyama’s face by seven grades. The data of this evaluation was analyzed by computer by principal component analysis and multiple regression analysis

A large ocular surface are (OSA) induces eye irritation and eye fatigue because the eye surface is highly sensitive to various irritants such as dust, heat, dryness, air flow, etc. The author considered that OSA must be one of the useful indices of visual ergonomics. In order to propose a comfortable visual display terminal (VDT) workstation layout, this paper showed two practical application of OSA measurements. One was the comparison of OSA in different types of visual tasks to extract the features of OSA in VDT work, the factor affecting OSA was not cathode ray tube (CRT) height itself but the distance between the CRT and keyboard. Thus, the workstation which the CRT be set close to the keyboard is recommended to realize comfortable VDT workstation to keep a smaller OSA in VDT users.

In this study, we tried to clarify following four aspects of eyesight. (1) We examined daily change of eyesight in 10 volunteers for 1 week. The result showed a change to 0.37 on an average. (2) We examined the influence of the finger rotation exercises on the eyesight of 15 junior high-school students. Immediate eyesight improvement to an average of 0.35 was observed. Improvement of both intellectual ability and phusical flexibility followed to this change. (3) We examined the influence of speed reading training on eyesight. As a result of two day training, eyesight improved by about 0.2 on an average. In a class which was held one time (three hours) a week, eyesight improved by about 0.2 on an average. We concluded that both finger rotation exercises and the training of speed reading let us improved eyesight.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the relationship between eye movements and the skill of measuring blood pressure. Four proficient nurses were selected as the subjects and their eye movements while measuring blood pressure were analyzed comparing with their motions. Eye movements were detected by TV type eye camera (NAC EMR-7)
The main results were as follows; (1) Each viewing ratio was changed by the contents of the motions. (2) These subjects tended to look at next viewing objects to perform their next motions smoothly. (3) Proficient nurses tended to use their hands instead of the eye sight.
